The Sustainable Communities Symposium 2004 will focus on the diverse assets of Northeast Ohio and engage participants in an interactive discussion of how to "connect the dots" to ensure economic vitality and a sustainable quality of life in this region. What needs to change in our attitudes and policies to make us a national model as an enviable place to live, work and play?
SCS 2004 will highlight some of the creative collaborations, new strategies, and replicable projects that are already occurring throughout Northeast Ohio, including the Cuyahoga Valley Initiative. http://www.cuyahogavalley.net/
Featured speaker: Dr. John Hartig, Detroit American Heritage River Navigator, will discuss how structuring public/private partnerships to protect a natural asset can stimulate a regional economy.
